The Bar of the Grand Bar and Brasserie sits in the refurbished Grand Hotel building looking out on to Wingecarribee Street. The original hotel was built in the 1880s, and despite the complete rebuild of its interior in the 1980s, the Grand Bar still retains the friendly feel of a "local" with its charming wood panelling and interesting historical memorabilia.

But, memorabilia and wood panelling don't make for much of a night out. The Grand Bar makes sure its loyal punters keep returning and visitors are entertained with a great range of hotel attractions including an enticing selection of imported and local boutique beers.

Open Air Ambience

During the day, the Grand's al fresco area in Wingecarribee Street provides welcome relief for shoppers who need to rest their legs (and credit cards) while they slake their thirst and enjoy a light lunch from the Brasserie after a heavy morning's purchasing.

Tuesday Night Trivia

Every Tuesday night 2ST radio presenter Graham Day hosts Fame Trivia in the Grand Bar. Graham starts asking questions at 7.30 and you are guaranteed to be challenged, entertained and better informed by the end of the night. You might also win a prize.

Sports on the Big Screen

The Grand is the ideal place to meet up with friends to watch big sporting events. The Big Screen gives everyone in the Bar the best seat in the house with the added convenience of being close to the bar.

Sadly it is the case that many women don't show the same enthusiasm for watching sport as men. If your wife or girlfriend is getting tired of you spending all weekend watching sports, give her a break and tell her you are taking her out for the night... to the Grand Bar and Brasserie. She can enjoy a delicious meal from the Bar menu while you enjoy the big hits at the match.

Check the Foxsports web site for details of all the best sport from around the world on view at the Grand.

Dress Regulations

The Grand does have reasonable restrictions on attire, so please go home and change before lobbing in from a construction site with muddy boots on.
